Roasted breads make a delicious evening snack or nibble, or even a picnic treat. The breads are filled with Lapin Liha’s reindeer cold smoked cold cuts fried crispy in a pan, mayonnaise, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes flavored with vinegar. The hefty PLT sandwich is a sure hunger quencher!

Ingredients

  • 12 slices of Lapin Liha’s cold-smoked reindeer meat cold cut
  • 6 large slices of toast
  • 1½ dl of mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 large tomatoes or beefsteak tomatoes
  • salt
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves

Instructions

Toast the reindeer slices in a pan until crispy. Toast the slices of bread. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, and honey together. Slice the tomatoes into thick slices. Sprinkle the tomato slices with salt and red wine vinegar. Spread the slices of bread with the mayonnaise mixture. Place 2 lettuce leaves on one slice, followed by a slice or two of tomato and three slices of reindeer. Top with a slice of bread spread with mayonnaise, and repeat the fillings. Finish with a third slice of bread spread with mayonnaise.
