Sautéed red deer á la Rydberg

  • 1 packet of Lapin Liha’s sautéed red deer
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 whole canned beetroots
  • 1 tbsp grated horseradish
  • salt and black pepper


  1. Peel, dice, and sauté the potatoes in 1 tbsp of butter.
  2. Thaw the meat completely so that it remains in slices.
  3. Add butter to the hot pan and then add the meat and the onion. Brown well. Season with salt and pepper. Add parsley on top.
  4. Serve with beets and grated horseradish.
  5. The dish becomes even more delicious when you add a raw egg yolk on top of the serving.
