Pita breads stuffed with sautéed red deer are suitable for lunch, dinner, or as a hearty evening snack. The Lapin Liha’s sautéed red deer is flavored with sweet chili sauce. Fill the breads with coleslaw salad, tomato, and roasted onion.

Ingredients

  • Coleslaw
  • 300 g cabbage
    1 carrot
    1 dl creme fraiche
    ½ dl mayonnaise
    ½ dl dried cranberries
    1 tsp mustard
    ½ tsp salt
    black pepper from the mill
  • 500 g Lapin Liha’s sautéed red deer
    1 tbsp butter
    2 dl sweet chili sauce
    pinch of salt
  • 4 pita breads
    2 tomatoes
    roasted onions

Instructions

  1. Shred the cabbage and peel and shred the carrot, add the remaining coleslaw salad ingredients, and let it marinate for a while.
  2. Take the meat out of the freezer to thaw about half an hour before frying.
  3. Fry the meat in butter.
  4. Add sweet chili sauce and season with salt.
  5. Fill warmed pitas with the stir-fry, coleslaw, tomato slices, and crispy roasted onions.
