Pickled red cabbage

Red cabbage makes an excellent side dish for grilled food.

Ingredients

  • ½ head of red cabbage
  • 3 dl water
  • 2 dl sugar
  • 1 dl vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pickling brine by boiling water, sugar, and vinegar. Allow the brine to cool completely. Meanwhile, thinly slice the red cabbage.
  2. Place the cabbage in the brine and let it marinate overnight. You can season the pickled red cabbage with sesame seeds before serving.
  3. Serve alongside grilled meat.
