Sautéed reindeer with mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam

Ingredients

  • 400 g Lapin Liha’s sautéed reindeer
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 dl water
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam

Instructions

  1. Thaw the meat for about 30 min.
  2. Fry the meat in butter, stirring at the same time. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add water and let it simmer for about 1.5-2 hours until the meat is tender.
  4. Serve with mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam.

    Tip: Add 1 chopped onion or 140 g diced bacon during frying for extra flavor. You can also partly replace the water with game stock or beer.
