Delicious warm red deer stew toasts are an easy and quick treat for lunch or a snack. You can serve them as they are or with a salad.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Lapin Liha’s sautéed red deer
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt
  • 8 slices of country bread
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 8 slices of smoked cheese
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 50 g of arugula
  •  

Instructions

  1. Allow the sautéed red deer to thaw for about half an hour before frying.
  2. Fry the meat in one tablespoon of butter and season with salt.
  3. Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub the bread slices with garlic.
  4. Add a slice of smoked cheese to each slice of bread.
  5. Add tomato slices, sautéed red deer, and arugula to half of the bread slices and turn the other slices of bread on top.
  6. Toast the sandwiches until crispy in a pan with the remaining butter.
